Contract Furniture Sales Representative

Our client is an office furniture company that specializes in assisting their customers with creating the most efficient workplace environment solutions for their office space.

They are currently seeking a driven and self-motivated sales professional to join their team. They are looking for an experienced sales person with a proven, stable track record of developing and executing a marketing plan, along with a proven ability for finding qualified leads, developing relationships and closing more business for driving new revenue to their company.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Prospecting new business through cold calling.
  • Introducing new and existing product lines.
  • Targeting medium and large clients in the Seattle/Bellevue region.
  • Achieving and exceeding revenue, profitability and product mix sales goals.
  • Developing new business, generating new accounts and effectively penetrating existing accounts.
  • Achieving quarterly and annual sales goals for volume and margin.
  • Assuring a high level of customer satisfaction and creating positive client relationships.

Duties:

  • The marketing and selling of workplace solutions to prospective clients and to existing customers.
  • Networking with prospective clients, architects, contract dealerships and managers from mid to large corporations.
  • Maintaining regular contact with furniture dealerships, clients and prospective clients.
  • Serving as liaison between customer service and the customer on shipments and quality matters.
  • Facilitating presentations for prospective clients.
  • Completing sales activity and opportunity reports
  • Completing sales order paperwork.
  • Assisting general customer service as well as maintaining customer contact database.
  • Coordinating all aspects of the sales/delivery cycle, including: order accuracy, reviewing specifications and acknowledgements, —Āoordinating and supervising the delivery, installation, and follow up service requirements.
  • Collecting funds on completed projects.

Skills Required

  • Effectively work as an individual as well as part of a team.
  • As part of a knowledgeable team, must be able to develop and apply collaborative style of communication for completing steps and accomplishing established objectives.
  • Must be skilled at finding qualified lead sources, building rapport, providing solutions through consultative selling style.
  • Must be an excellent presenter for face to face presentations.
  • Must have business to business sales experience in the furniture industry.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of all of the products sold by the company.
  • Stay up to speed on current knowledge of the contract furniture industry, including related products,, applications and design concepts

Qualifications:

  • Candidate will have previous contract furniture industry experience.
  • A proven track record of successful business to business sales.
  • Candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications, or equivalent experience, excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required. MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
