Contract Office Furniture – New Business Development

Job Overview: Position creates sales opportunities through networking, as well as growing existing accounts. Manages and maintains accounts in profitable manner.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain existing client accounts and develop new clients. Maintain accurate records of all accounts.
  • Develop new accounts
  • Maintains current knowledge of company lines and related products, applications and design concepts.
  • Obtain POs, deposits, purchase agreements and any other documents necessary to secure sales.
  • Work with various company departments on sales specifications, delivery and installation of products.
  • Cultivate and maintain working relationships with vendors.
  • Meet or exceed sales objectives.

Excellent Base Salary, Commission Structure and Benefits!

  • BS/BA Degree or equivalent in industry-specific experience.
  • 5+ years contract furniture business development experience.
  • Major furniture product line experience a plus (Knoll, Haworth, Herman Miller, Steelcase, Teknion, Allsteel).
  • MS Office and web searching experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and Organizational Skills
  • Team player
