Hydraulics Supervisor

The primary function of the Department Supervisor Hydraulics is to ensure efficient and orderly operations of all aspects of the Hydraulics department.

Must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to:

  • Leadership role in the department, and responsible for monitoring and maintaining department throughput.
  • Ability to realize compliance with safety rules, company policies and procedures.
  • Skills to communicate, monitor and ensure progress toward attainment of location and company goals.

This position is a Supervisor level and reports to the Supervisor, Laboratory.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining daily workload (backlog) and turnaround time in Hydraulics department.
  • Responsible for organizing and scheduling work for hydraulics technician(s).
  • Responsible for developing and training hydraulics technicians in performing setups, running tests and performing data acquisition.
  • Responsible for performing setups and run standard tests as well as special projects involving the build of customs setups. Keep detail data throughout duration of programs
  • Responsible for managing large and small hydraulics projects.
  • Ensures all work is performed in accordance with company procedures and regulatory agencies’ re-quirements.
  • Responsible for monitoring and following company safety procedures within the department to conform to appropriate regulatory and company standards

Experience in testing areas: Pressure Burst, Pressure Impulse, FAA Firetest, Pressure Cycle
Experience in media: fuels, water, oils

Availability, flexibility, and maturity to represent the company at a broad range of events in the community, with customers, and within the company.
Well-developed oral and written communication skills to meet a variety of communication needs.
Strong interpersonal skills that foster open upward and downward communication built on mutual respect.
Ability to interface with clients, win new work and determine their requirements to develop proposals including cost estimates, work plan and terms and conditions.
