POWER OPERATIONS SPECIALIST

We have been providing energy to the West Coast for more than 50 years. We pride ourselves in helping to invest in new renewable generating resources such as wind and solar, nuclear, and geothermal projects. We are looking for a Physical Scientist for our Washington location.

Responsibilities:

  • Setting operational weekly, quarterly and yearly goals and objectives.
  • Provide operational goals and objectives.
  • Representing the interests of the company in committees and subcommittees.
  • Administer energy conservation aquisition programs.
  • Representing Generation Supply in the development and implementation of programs for increased efficiency in affected power projects and utilities.
  • Representing the company on real time activities with System Operations.

  • Must have graduate degree in engineering or other work related area.
  • Must have 5-7 years experience working in a power plant, including a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
  • Must have knowledge of Operational rules and regulations.
  • Must have, at a minimum, one year of specialized experience associated with operating rule curves and modeling relationships pertaining to hydro-operations and the use of computer models to evaluate operational alternatives for meeting load and other non-power requirements.
  • Must be a team player.

Must be a US Citizen.
