Project Engineer

The Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of asphalt paving projects. This position works closely with the Estimator and Operations Manager to ensure the project remains on schedule and within budget. The Project Manger reports directly to the Operations Manager.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinates with the Estimator in bid preparation by preparing job budgets and
  • Conducts invoice review and approval, along with billing quantity approval and
  • Resolves contract
  • Reviews all project contracts, subcontracts and tracks pay
  • Manages the project from start up through
  • Ensures required permits are retained and up to date, along with regulating contractor compliance throughout the
  • Establishes and maintains working relationships with owners, agencies, subcontractors, corporate management, inspections, ,

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a project management position for a construction
  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Detail oriented, with the ability to multitask and deal with changing priorities throughout the workday.
  • Employee must be able to communicate effectively, both spoken and written, in

  • Ability to speak/listen on the phone, type using a
  • Ability to travel outside the office to jobsite locations and move safely throughout uneven jobsite

Desired Skills

  • Working knowledge of HCSS
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office; Word and
  • Experience with Viewpoint by Vista
  • Experience with P6 – Project Management
