Project Engineer – Commercial

We are a commercial general contractor based in Tualatin, who are interested in hiring a full-time Project Engineer who’s passionate about construction. If you’re a self-starter with a good work ethic who’s committed to creating satisfied clients, we’d like to talk with you.

Responsibilities:

Project engineers assist the project team with a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

Obtain, review and distribute submittals

Review blueprints and specs; prepare RFIs

Create, maintain and organize project files, plans and correspondence

Prepare a procurement log/schedule for subcontractors, materials and equipment

Assist in material purchases and coordination of deliveries to ensure compliance with the construction schedule

Distribute change order information/documentation

Manage the project closeout process

Foster and enhance the company’s relationships with architects, engineers and subcontractors

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field

Knowledge of estimating and engineering principles and techniques

Ability to understand contract documents, read drawings and evaluate specifications

Strong computer skills and a familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Bluebeam, BIM and other construction software is a plus.

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Detail-oriented, organized, able to manage multiple tasks
