Contract Furniture Sr. Director of Sales

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is accountable for achieving annual sales, gross margin, and developing new buisness. Responsibility includes setting the sales direction for the entire organization.

Major Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for Developing new business, and management of existing business.
  • Responsible for strategic leadership to Account Executives, and Account Managers.
  • Responsible for recruiting, training, and developing the sales force.
  • Responsible for developing relationships in the Real Estate and A&D Communities.
  • Develops and maintains vendor relationships at both management and sales representative levels in conjunction with the President.
  • Responsible for overall customer satisfaction and consistent interface with management at company’s clients.
  • Monitor and measure sales performance and address deficiencies.
  • Responsible for meeting annual revenues of volume and gross profit through the sales teams.
  • Develops and manages marketing and advertising budgets.
  • Assists in setting the marketing direction for branch locations
  • Forecast bookings and billings.
  • Identifies leads and sources of business.

Specific job responsibilities:

  • Creates & maintains strong relationships with clients, prospects, and referral sources.
  • Maintains current knowledge of the industry and related products, applications and design concepts
  • Cross-sells design, installation, project management and other services.
  • Conducts presentations, demonstrations, and tours as required at various points in the sales cycle to support company sales representatives.
  • Interacts with sales support, design, operations, and administrative personnel as needed.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining the preferred vendor list.
  • Owns relationship with preferred vendors and tracks performance as it relates to achieving sales goals.
  • Responsible for developing leads and closing business.
  • Attends Trade Shows and Conferences on an annual basis to interface with clients, designers, and vendors.
  • Responsible for hosting sales meetings, vendor meetings, and weekly one on one meetings.
  • Reviews each account manager on an annual basis with quarterly feed back on year to date performance.
  • Responsible for supporting the General Manager as it relates to sales and training functions.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
  • Successful sales experience of at least 5 years and successful sales management of at least 3 years, or comparable related industry experience and education.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with clients and internal personnel: team player.
  • Demonstrates the people skills necessary to motivate a sales team.
  • Demonstrates commitment to professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment in conducting business .
  • Active in the community: regular contact with clients, potential clients, and professionals in the design community, real estate developers and general contractors.
  • Understands company’s standing in the community and abides by our strong core values and beliefs.
  • Must be US citizen.
