Sr. Financial Mgr.

Job Description

The individual in this role will be responsible for directing the global financial organization for the group and authoring the financial results, including final financial statements with supporting schedules. This will include various projects, including “due diligence” of new acquisitions, the integration of acquisitions as well as analysis of current operating procedures in the group to ensure adoption of “best business practices”. Will make recommendations to improve operating results and implement the proper tracking and reporting processes. Through sound fiscal management, you will be a key contributor to the continuous improvement process.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop the financial impact for the company’s product plan, including how pricing impacts the profitability of the business
  • Determine how to rationalize the manufacturing footprint from a financial perspective
  • Lead the development of the financial planning to determine an effective plan for growth
  • Direct and review monthly close and consolidation process.
  • Lead the develop, analyze and interpret statistical and accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, etc.
  • Examine the company’s system of accounts, interpret and stay abreast of complex transactions.
  • Establish major economic objectives and policies for the company and prepare reports that outline the company’s financial position in the areas of income, expenses and earnings.
  • Coordinate and prepare the budget and financial forecasts, institute and maintain planning and control procedures, and analyze/report variances.
  • Provide input for tax planning and compliance initiatives.
  • Drive the internal reporting system including the revision and updating of reports for efficiency; furnish external reports as necessary.
  • Implement continuous improvement tools to drive improvements in time, accuracy and resources required.

  • Information Systems experience with general operation applications and accounting interfaces within an ERP environment, preferably SAP
  • Working knowledge of hedging commodities
  • Experience in dealing with multiple currencies with understanding of the transactional and translational impact on financial results
  • About 15 years of global financial leadership experience, public accounting and/or manufacturing experience with consolidations, audits and financial reporting. Expertise should include leadership of public company finances.
  • MBA or Masters in financial field of study

* Experience in general accounting/finance for multi sites in a manufacturing environment with leadership/management experience. Prefer financial leadership skill with plant consolidations as well.
