Supplier Quality Engineer

We have a unique and exciting career opportunity for Supplier Quality Engineer.

Our client supplies critical systems and components to the aerospace and defense markets and is committed to operational excellence and world class processes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinates with customers and suppliers relating to quality performance, trends, and corrective action.
  • Verifies compliance and effectiveness of the quality system by performing supplier audits and surveys.
  • Initiates programs to improve supplier performance.
  • Provides expert analysis, guidance and support to suppliers in process improvement activities, including effective use of problem solving tools / techniques and statistical analysis.
  • Utilizes analytical skill sets to implement root cause analysis and provide recommendations for corrective action.
  • Works with suppliers to refine and enhance products and processes by applying continuous improvement and key manufacturing, production principles, and techniques to assure quality of goods and services provided.

Excellent Salary and Benefits!

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or other related Science/Engineering field. Advanced degree a plus.
  • 5 + years minimum relevant work experience. Preferably in the aerospace industry.
  • Can proficiently perform all standard tasks with the skill while working in scenarios that require some degree of customization. Interact with internal and external personnel on matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science, quality science, and technology; including applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
  • Knowledge of the latest quality science tools including, FMEA, GR&R, Control plans, Capability study and reduction of variations.
  • Knowledge of the characteristics of metals, mechanical/electrical engineering, chemical processes, and other elements.
