Construction Coordinator – Indianapolis, IN

The Construction Coordinator will serve as the owner’s representative to ensure and coordinate architect/engineer responses for all post-closing items (inclusive but not limited to) such as availability of drawings, RFI’s, submittals, drawing revisions, issues, bid package inquires, coordination and upload of bid docs, changes, etc.

  • Collaborate and perform final quality checks (QAQC) for correctness and completion before the permit set is submitted and released to construction for bidding. Ensure that designs are properly integrated across all disciplines (Arch and Civil) and drawings are error free. Evaluate constructability of designs.
  • Ensure all submittals and RFIs are answered in the established time frame.
  • Act as a resource for project managers, project engineers, and project superintendents during the bidding and construction process.
  • Serve as the Plan Production resource and point of contact for construction in cases of value engineering. Assist construction with verifying proposals are compliant with the project requirements.  Carry acceptable proposals into the contract documents where needed.  Update the Submittal Checklist to ensure value engineering discussions are acknowledged in the submittal review process.
  • Verify project readiness for final housing authority inspections with a site visit near the end of Construction.
  • Conduct thorough quantity takeoffs of all assigned projects inclusive of architectural and civil design at the direction of the VP of Estimating and Product Development.
  • Support and participate in product quantifying, preliminary estimating, and resource functions for estimating and product development.
