Structural Engineer

The company is expanding and we have immediate need of a Structural Engineer to join our technical team during construction to design and review the structures, trackway, roadways and drainage. The position will report to the Design Construction Manager and will develop skills capable of providing planning, leadership and technical expertise in management of complex projects.

Design During Construction

• Prepare engineering documents for construction and technical submittals to the client.
• Perform design computations in accordance with client specifications and guidelines.
• Review and provide field changes to complex designs such as Ready for Construction structural plans.
• Check shop drawings
• Assist in the production of final construction drawings.

Construction Management

• Interact with contractor, fabricators and the client.
• Provide direct on-site structural inspections and field observations.
• Resolve real-time design conflicts in the field.
• Coordinate with other in-house disciplines

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Structural Engineer (SE) or Professional Engineer (PE) licensed in California.
• Strong experience in post-tensioned structures required.
• 5+ years of experience in the Construction field.
• 2+ years of experience in design of railroad structures.
• Valid driver’s license
