Description

Our expanding company, based on innovation, excellence and integrity, and committed to supporting the achievements of our highly qualified team, is now looking for a Senior Clinical Laboratory Scientist.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Ability to perform all routine test procedures below;
  • Specimen processing
  • Nucleic acid extraction
  • Polymerase chain reaction (PCR)
  • RT-PCR
  • Real-time PCR
  • Gel electrophoresis
• Ability to be trained and operate equipment listed below
  • Spectrophotometer
  • Electrophoresis equipment
  • Centrifuges
  • Sequence Analyzer
  • Microarray platforms
• Assists in document control and prepares validation documentation of new tests and procedures.
• Write and perform and summarize method validations.
• Perform method qualifications per approved procedures as required.
• Maintain laboratory in a clean, functional state compliant with GMP, QSR ad ISO requirements, as well as performing or scheduling equipment and instrument maintenance / calibration / certifications as required.
• Mentor junior scientists as needed.

Requirements:

• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Clinical Research, or other related field, with 7+ years experience in a lab setting.
• Must have 3+ years of supervisory experience working in a clinical or laboratory environment.
• Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Must have knowledge of clinical testing, molecular biology techniques, laboratory processes, specialized medical diagnostic laboratory tests, blood test procedures, and medical terminology.
• Must have a solid understanding of Quality Systems Regulations and ISO quality requirements.
• Must be able to handle biological samples and potentially hazardous chemicals.
