Client has a career opportunity for an Estimator or Preconstruction Manager in Central Florida with a background in commercial construction (hotel). Responsibilities include assisting in bid and proposal preparation including quantity surveys, bid solicitation and preparation of estimates for small projects. The ideal candidate will be 3+ years out of college have a good work ethic and willing to work in a supporting role.
Qualifications
B.S. degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited university
2+ years of experience in related field
High proficiency in basic software applications
Integrity, tenacity, demonstrated ability to succeed, and the attitude to do what it takes to meet or exceed client expectations
General Description
Prepares detailed quantity surveys,
Coordinates and develops subcontractor and vendor relationships and assist in bid solicitations.
Preparation of full estimates on small project work.
Deals with owners, A/E’s and subcontractors to resolve technical and/or value engineering matters during negotiation and contract execution.
Key Duties
Execute quantity take-offs of all building and site work components
Prepare and solicit bid requests for subcontractors
Participate in post-bid revisions, meetings, and negotiations
Work with Operations and fellow Preconstruction Managers to ensure project scope items are properly addressed in the estimate
Assist with review of scope, and qualifications of subcontractor quotations and proposals
