Senior Principal Scientist

Sr. Principal Scientist

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of enzymology research within a drug discovery team, including:

• characterization of the catalytic mechanism, physical properties and biological roles of target enzymes
• design and implementation of in vitro assays;
• development of specific assays for target enzymes
• evaluation and implementation of novel assay technologies for inhibitor screening
• characterization of inhibitor potencies and mechanisms
• data reduction, interpretation, tabulation and reporting of results to project teams.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or related field required.
• Technical expertise must include quantitative enzymology, protein chemistry, and assay technology.
• Experience in database management and associated computer skills also desired.
