SENIOR DESIGNER – CONTRACT FURNITURE

Designer- Several locations available Nation Wide

A national furniture company is looking for a Designer. As a trusted source for quality office furniture the company focus has always been providing quality furniture and unparalleled service both during and after the sale. We are seeking a designer to interface with key client accounts. The ideal candidate will have proven skills in establishing / developing design schemes and leading / coordinating design teams for interior commercial projects.

Description:

Design & Proposal Support

• Act as primary design interface with clients.
• Produce space plans, furniture plans, elevations, conceptual and finished design presentation documentation.
• Knowledge of applicable building code and ADA code compliance regulations.
• Lead design efforts through all phases of commercial interior projects including guiding, advising, and mentoring other designers on projects, developing design directions and leading design critiques/forums.
• Provide solutions to design problems and generate design alternatives.
• Review drawings, mock ups, materials, and finish samples submitted by project contractors.
• Delivers the highest quality of professional service.

Revenue

• Actively seeks to reduce/avoid sales credits and order errors.
• Understands and works within the company financial model.
• Personal project funnel is at or above benchmark levels.

• Maintain good relationships with reps, vendors and internal personnel

• Four year degree in design preferred
• Background in Contract Furniture industry required
• 2-5+ year’s contract furniture design experience.
• Experience using specification programs such as AutoCAD, C.E.T., I.C.E., CAP 20/20 Studio, Project Matrix
• Experience with major contract furniture product lines is preferred (Knoll, Haworth, Herman Miller, Steelcase, Teknion, Allsteel).
• Knowledge of Furniture, and ability to be Client Facing Representative.
