SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER

Reports to: Vice President of Engineering

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for:

• All aspects of initial planning and ultimate construction of utility-scale concentrated solar power projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and on budget.
• Leading the development and integration of construction schedules, budgets, and plans; with input and support from strategic suppliers and the EPC firm.
• Supporting project specific development activities including cost estimating and proposals, balance of plant analyses, permitting, and environmental and electrical interconnection studies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree in a related engineering discipline. An advance degree preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience managing suppliers and major capital projects
• Experience in steam power plant design and performance, with knowledge of relevant codes and practices
• Experience drafting and negotiating engineering, procurement and construction contracts
• Demonstrated past performance successfully managing power plant construction and start-up
• Frequent travel to project sites
• Multi-lingual preferred
• Proficient in cost estimating, project accounting and project scheduling tools
• Demonstrated team leadership and management skills
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in electricity generation project construction

The ideal candidate will relocate to the project site and represent the owner throughout the construction phase.
