successful rail construction projects. Interfaced with Chief Financial Officer and other

to new business objectives driven by rail construction revenue, cost control and safety.

Sr Project Manager – Project Manager

leaders, attorneys and community leaders to deliver successful projects on time and
under budget.

Project Manager 

Filled rail maintenance planning need focused on track buckling and rail integrity by developing
and generating Turnout Reliability and Continuous Welded Rail (CWR) reports for daily use by
Roadmasters, Division Engineers and General Directors of Track Maintenance. Utilized skills in
reliability engineering and LEAN/Six Sigma to analyze asset reliability.

➢ Served BNSF Mechanical group in development, design, construction and installation
of thirty engineered concrete lifting pad sets along BNSF mainline to address train
fluidity concerns while ensuring employee safety. (concrete pad sets sourced through
Omega Industries, Inc.)

➢ Presented training seminars to Division Engineers, Roadmasters, and Supervisors of
Maintenance Planning on the cost savings associated with proper use of Turnout Reliability and
Track Geometry Quality reports (Six Sigma Tool).

➢ Certified by BNSF Maintenance of Way leadership to perform as track geometry car
technician.

Project Manager

Evaluated locomotive maintenance processes, locomotive component life-cycle, shop resources,
operating costs, repair logs, and operating procedures in support of LEAN/ Six Sigma corporate
business objectives and operational efficiencies.

➢ Created comprehensive Shop Planning Playbook to roll out standardized job plans for
locomotive maintenance.

➢ Developed and implemented statistical model to set performance goals and forecast
locomotive availability beginning in 2006 and ending in 2010. Model used to establish locomotive
purchasing plan valued at $300M

➢ Served as lead and facilitator in monthly quality meetings where the maintenance
committee and reliability team discussed and analyze root cause 3P issues.

➢ Selected to train Shop Superintendents, General Foreman, and first line supervisors
on proper use of the Locomotive Triage Report.

Superintendent

Scheduled and supervised a group of over 40 mechanical maintenance employees on 24/7 work schedule.
Utilized Balanced Scorecards to troubleshoot and turn around numerous inefficiencies in terminal
processes.

➢ Spearheaded an initiative to identify and resolve root causes in overtime billing and freight
car repair issues, resulting in reduction of labor costs

➢ Completed corporate-sponsored Six Sigma Black Belt training and Derailment Investigation
certification

implementation project.
