Assistant Superintendent – Concrete (Curbs/Sidewalks)

We are a privately held and growing multi-family developer and builder is seeking a Superintendent for the Ventura,CA market. The Superintendent will oversee concrete work, such as in curb and gutter, stringline, sidewalk, finishers, building inlets, outlet structures, rebar, setting and stripping forms, assisting with pour, and drainage structures.

This role will require the ability to manage timelines, manage for quality and communicate significant issues to staff and subcontractors. Review architectural drawings for coordination and completion. Scheduling of the daily activities Scheduling of subcontractor trades. Resolves contractual issues that arise with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers. Interacting with inspectors and obtaining necessary approvals. Oversee in person the construction site and work progress.

Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of at least 3 years prior experience in as an assistant superintendent
• Strong technical understanding of construction, architectural design, and engineering.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
• Strong abilities with Excel and MS Project or other similar project management software.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
