Plan, direct and coordinate, usually through subordinate supervisory personnel, activities and safety concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities and systems.
Key Duties:
Ensure strict compliance with contract documents and directives.
Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines.
Determine labor requirements and dispatch workers to construction sites.
Inspect and review projects in strict compliance with the contract drawings and specifications such as building and safety codes and other regulations.
Inspect the work performed on a continual basis while directing and supervising workers.
Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods.
Oversee workers who complete specific pieces of the project, i.e. painting or plumbing.
Requisition supplies and materials to complete construction projects.
Develop and implement quality control programs.
Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites, to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out.
Evaluate construction methods and determine cost-effectiveness of plans, using computers.
Maintain as-built drawings for all trades through completion of project.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience: Three to seven years related experience
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite
Certificates & Licenses: USACE CQM Certification, OSHA 30 Hour Certification, First Aid & CPR Certification
Other skills: Leadership, strong written and verbal communication, problem solver, safety awareness, etc.
