We have an opportunity for an experienced Estimator. This position is geographically based in Corona, California. The Estimator will organize a strategic plan for pursuit of identified projects, prepares and supervises the preparation of bids and preliminary schedules to assist in the estimating process.
Responsibilities:
Provide cost estimation on projects;
Prepares estimates by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications and related documents;
Identifies and compute labor, material, time and costs by analyzing specifications.
Compare and analyze competitive subcontractor and supplier quotes and estimates with project management;
Prepare estimates at different levels of completion.
May require travel.
Requirements
10 years’ estimating and project management experience;
Knowledge in the area of costs for labor, materials, subcontractors and other aspects of bidding accurately;
Background in estimating earthwork, underground utilities and structures;
Proficient with HCSS Heavy Bid, Autocad, AgTek, Primavera and Microsoft programs;
Possess ability to review and address technical issues with solutions in a timely manner;
Works well in-group environment, encourage individuals’ at all organizational levels, and fosters a team approach;
Excellent Communication.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management from a recognized accredited program.
Knowledge of marketplaces cited above and experience in capturing and delivering such projects;
