SENIOR DESIGNER / DIRECTOR of DESIGN

Sr. Designer / Director of Design

We are seeking a Sr. Designer / Director of Design to interface with key client accounts. The ideal candidate will have proven skills in establishing / developing design schemes and leading / coordinating design teams for interior commercial projects.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Act as primary design interface with clients.
• Produce space plans, furniture plans, elevations, conceptual and finished design presentation documentation.
• Knowledge of applicable building code and ADA code compliance regulations.
• Lead design efforts through all phases of commercial interior projects including guiding, advising, and mentoring other designers on projects, developing design directions and leading design critiques/forums.
• Provide solutions to design problems and generate design alternatives.
• Review drawings, mock ups, materials, and finish samples submitted by project contractors.
• Delivers the highest quality of professional service.

Salary based on experience. Excellent Benefits.

• BA / BS design degree preferred or equivalent in experience.
• 5+ years experience in the design of commercial interior projects. Furniture dealership experience preferred.
• Strong customer service experience, including account management and/or project management skills.
• Strong organizational, communication, presentation and leadership skills.
• Proficient in all aspects of interior design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, CAP 20/20. Knowledge of any of these is helpful: Adobe Photoshop, 3D Studio, sketch up and free hand sketching.
