SENIOR WINDOWS ARCHITECT

Senior Windows Architect

Extraordinarily intelligent and resourceful individual sought to help architect next-generation Microsoft Windows infrastructure for a highly successful investment and technology development firm with approximately US $20 billion in aggregate capital and an international reputation for financial innovation and technological leadership.
He or she will work both independently and with our 35-person systems staff on substantial design and research projects within the Windows environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop scalable Windows systems for both our campus and global networks
• Identify, research, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies
• Develop and implement management and related tools
• Engineer solutions for the firm’s growing, highly-resilient Windows infrastructure.

The person we hire should be capable of conceptualizing, building, and deploying systems management and automation technologies for both Windows servers and a large body of Windows PC clients.

Job Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with server applications in a Microsoft networked environment
• High level of expertise in the following areas:
  • Windows 2000/2003 Server (including IIS)
  • Exchange 2000/2003 Server
  • SQL 2000 Server
  • Active Directory management
  • Security management (including Group Policy Objects)
  • TCP/IP networking
• Some expertise with UNIX administration
• Some expertise with LAN network administration
• Excellent knowledge of server hardware and strong problem-solving skills
• Solid programming and scripting abilities
• Project management and documentation skills
• High level of initiative and dedication
• Demonstrated ability to be a team player and willingness to lend a hand with any project
• Demonstrated ability to manage packages (release updates) and apply security patches
• Demonstrated ability to develop tools to maintain and monitor corporate infrastructure
