Water Operations Supervisor

The Water Operations Supervisor supervises employees and daily operations. He/she serves as shift operator and is responsible for efficient and safe operations.

Responsibilities include:

• Scheduling work, approving timecards, authorizing leave, evaluating performance, proposing disciplinary actions, interviewing applicants and recommending selections, ensuring employees receive the appropriate training, conducting employee meetings
• Serves as shift operator for a specified period of the day
• Operates SCADA computer equipment to operate the plant
• Insures accuracy and completeness of records and documentation

Job Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience as a wastewater operator, including 3+years supervisory experience
• Class III OR Class IV Wastewater license
• Class V drivers license
• A variety of computer software applications to include word processing, spreadsheets, database programs such as SCADA
• Laws, codes, rules and regulations pertaining to water treatment plant operations, water quality standards and safety
• Mechanical and electrical theory related to wastewater plants.
• The operations, methods, materials, tools, equipment, and safety practices involved in the operation, maintenance, construction and modification of waste water facilities
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Work effectively in a team environment
