Account Manager / Business Development – Contract Furniture

We are looking for an experienced lead interior designer who wants to grow his or her career as an Account Manager. The Account Manager identifies and manages client accounts and business opportunities to maximize market share, profitability, competitive advantage and capacity utilization. Identifies opportunities, pursues them, and acquires new accounts. Establishes and maintains productive relationships with clients. Provides a valuable service to the customer by communicating the customer’s needs and being our customer’s advocate. Responsibilities:

  • Work with all sales personnel, Project Managers, Accounting, and Installation to ensure total customer satisfaction.
  • Develop new client relationships through referrals and networking.
  • Reviews and proofs orders for basic information (ship to, bill to, contract number, etc.) accuracy and completeness.
  • Create status reports and communicate to sales on a weekly basis all order status, punch list resolution and scheduling of shipping, delivery and installation.
  • Prepares work order packet with clear scope of work and delivers to operations
  • Maintains master sales order and work order files for all assigned orders insuring file is complete and up-to date.
  • Invoices for all product and service work for assigned sales orders; verifies invoice amounts and balance to customers are accurate.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with a commercial furniture dealership or the A&D Community as a lead designer.
  • Expertise in layout, color, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture and all installations.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator or other design programs.
  • Detail oriented and a self directed problem solver.
  • Creative talent, imagination, and an eye for commercial office design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Undergraduate degree in Interior Design.
