Business Development Leader – Architectural Healthcare Practice

Preferable Locations:

A choice of L.A., San Diego or San Jose for your base office.

The focus of responsibilities for this position will be to:

Primary focus – west of the Rockies.

Responsible for the overall coordination and implementation of marketing strategies for the Healthcare Practice.

This position works in collaboration with the healthcare leadership, and Principals in Charge to align the marketing strategies, and business development activities with the vision, strategic plan, and the annual business plan for the healthcare practice.

Communication

  • Monitor and report on the attainment of healthcare practice marketing and business development goals (corporate and by office).
  • Coordinate with corporate marketing the development and utilization of marketing tools, resources and collateral for the Healthcare Practice which are aligned with branding and image standards.
  • Coordinate with other market leaders cross market opportunities and pursuits.
  • Assist PIC’s in building relationships with existing and targeted clients.
  • Build relationships with key targeted clients, consultants, and contractors consistent with the Healthcare Practice strategic vision and business plan.
  • Assist our healthcare leaders in the development of business alliances.

Leadership & Teamwork

  • Lead the development and implementation of both marketing and business development activities in coordination with healthcare leadership and healthcare principals.
  • Supervise marketing support staff as delegated.
  • Participate in firm-wide leadership activities as appropriate and as requested

Managing Change

  • Manage multiple tasks.
  • Maintain priorities and remain flexible changing them as needed when necessitated by business conditions.

Productivity

  • Coordinate activities related to: award submittals, speaking engagements, conferences/events, media relations, marketing collateral, publishing opportunities, etc.
  • Collaborate with healthcare leadership to develop business plans specific to market trends, industry regulatory and reimbursement changes, etc.
  • Utilize all technology tools available to enhance the productivity of marketing efforts, i.e. Deltek, Studio One, etc.

Self Management

  • Flexible to travel between our offices and to local, regional, and national events.
  • Self motivated, detail oriented, and organized.
  • Able to work with creative teams, and to facilitate communication between diverse interests.

Quality

  • Monitor the quality and results of proposals related to production, resources, win/loss rates and other targets.
  • Review and monitor lead tracking and compare to targeted results.
  • Monitor the quality and consistency of interviews, presentations, media relations, conferences, etc. related to the return on the investment.
  • Assess opportunities and provide coaching development as needed.
  • Demonstrates both writing skills and presentation skills.

Technical

  • Lead the development and implementation of client feedback programs.
  • Manage the Go/No Go process.
  • Develop measurement systems and analysis for the improvement of current processes.

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Bachelors’ degree in a related field.
Masters’ degree and/or registered architect preferred.

Experience:

  • 10-15 years experience in marketing and/or business development required in healthcare and/or architecture.
  • Must have a CA license.
  • Prefer candidate with LEEDS experience.
