Job Overview:

The Business Development Manager is responsible for prospecting and closing new business accounts.

The Business Development Manager will serve as the primary contact for the decision-makers and leads the sales process. Will work closely with the Account Manager and Sales team to successfully transition account implementation and management responsibility to them.

Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:

• Researches, contacts, qualifies, prepares and presents packaged solutions to acquire new business
• Works with the Sales Manager to develop target account lists
• Coordinates and leads sales efforts with other sales resources (e.g., Account Manager, Product Specialist, and Sales Manager)
• Ensures smooth transition of on-going account management to Account Manager.

Job Qualifications:

• BS/BA Degree preferred
• 5+ years contract furniture business development experience.
• Major furniture product line experience a plus (ex. Knoll, Haworth, Herman Miller, Steelcase).
• MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Outlook
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and Organizational Skills
