Chromatography Specialist – Sales and Customer Service

Location – Wilmington, DE

Reports to: Sales Manager

This is a position in technical sales of products for analytical chemistry laboratories.

The focus of the Chromatography Sales Specialist will be on following up on sales leads and developing sales at targeted accounts.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Follow up on sales leads by contacting all leads at targeted accounts generated via our marketing communications efforts.
  2. Develop new customers for company products by targeting prospects at specific accounts and developing a strategy to develop sales based on company requirements. This will be accomplished via telephone, email, or mail, and an occasional personal visit.
  3. Establish excellent relationships with existing customers and find ways to grow sales at existing key accounts.
  4. Manage contact between company and its end- users on a regular basis.
  5. Identify qualified leads to add to our sales leads database by searching for new prospects and providing the information to the Marketing Assistant
  6. Arrange seminars and workshops at targeted accounts.
  7. Represent our company at technical conferences by managing exhibits.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceutical science or related field is required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and presentation skills.
  • The successful candidate must have an aptitude for sales.
  • Our company will provide training in sales as well as training in the field of chromatography.
