Continuous Improvement Champion – Traveling

As the CI Leader and Lean Expert, for a major division, you will play a key role in deploying CI / Lean / Six Sigma techniques and serve change agent, transforming and coaching across all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate will be well trained in Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma techniques, and have hands-on experience deploying lean / CI at the site, group or organizational level, to include administrative departments. The ideal candidate will also have a proven track record of coaching, mentoring, and developing lean thinking.

DUTIES:

  • Work with key leaders on strategic CI / lean initiatives!
  • Serve as a Change Agent!
  • Develop / transform the culture to think continuous improvement.
  • Implement Lean Strategy
  • Coaching, mentor and teach lean techniques
  • Serve as facilitator for Kaizen Events and lean initiatives
  • Manage project timeline, resources and deliverables. Regularly provide project status updates to stakeholders and team members.
  • Develop, implement and distribute CI tools
  • Drive best practice techniques across multiple organizations
  • Coach / Mentor / Train: Value Stream Mapping, Visual Management, Kaizen / Gemba Planning and Facilitation, Flow Concepts, Product Preparation Process (3P), Pull Systems/Kanban, 5S/Workplace Organization, Level Load Scheduling, Value Analysis/Value Engineering, and Standard Work, Problem Solving (ie: A3, Six Sigma DMAIC).

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required! Advanced / Graduate degree desired!
  • Demonstrated CI / Continuous Improvement (Lean / Six Sigma) responsibility, deploying CI, directing and managing large projects.
  • Outstanding ability to influence, coaching, and to drive change.
  • Certified Lean Expert, Lean Practitioner, Lean Master, or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt / Master Black Belt
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced matrix environment, multi-task and prioritize work based on business needs.
  • 7-10 years of Lean Manufacturing experience with both tactical and strategic experience in shop floor or supply chain and business office.
