Contract Office Furniture – New Business Development Exec.

Job Overview: Position creates sales opportunities through prospecting, as well as growing existing accounts. Manages and maintains accounts in profitable manner. Positions located in the Bay Area/Silicon Valley.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain existing client accounts and develop new clients. Maintain accurate records of all accounts.
  • Cold call new accounts with a “Hunter” attitude.
  • Maintains current knowledge of company lines and related products, applications and design concepts.
  • Obtain POs, deposits, purchase agreements and any other documents necessary to secure sales.
  • Work with various company departments on sales specifications, delivery and installation of products.
  • Cultivate and maintain working relationships with vendors.
  • Meet or exceed sales objectives.

Job Qualifications:

  • BS/BA Degree or relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • 5+ years contract furniture business development experience.
  • Major furniture product line experience a plus (Knoll, Haworth, Herman Miller, Steelcase).
  • MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Outlook
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and Organizational Skills
  • Team player
