Candidate will provide strong leadership and a strategic business approach to the design function. Manage workflow and process for multi-market companies. Grow a profitable business unit within the Company.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Build an efficient and profitable Design profit center.
Develop, implement and maintain an efficient design process and structure.
Provide leadership, direction, and mentoring to company designers.
Evaluate and diagnose strengths and inefficiencies in the process and structure.
Determine the strength and fit of individuals comprising the Design Team.
Create a vision and strategy of how the Design department will become a profitable business unit.
Sell the design vision to Leadership, key stakeholders and the organization at large.
Implement and maintain the Design structure and process.
Assist Account Managers in negotiating billable services.
Ensure the Design Team is performing at agreed to level.

Bachelor’s Degree (BA) or certificate in Interior Design or related field preferred.
Director level experience for a multi-market organization
Strong workflow and process management
Proven problem solver
Proficiency in management and motivation of teams
Knowledge of office furniture systems
Strong written and oral communications
Strong mathematical skills, with basic algebra and geometry skills
Ability to read, analyze and interpret business contracts, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and contracts.
Proficiency in MS Windows, Word, Excel, Project, Power Point, and Outlook
Proficiency in AutoCAD a plus
Dealership design background is a plus
