DEVELOPMENT GEOPHYSICIST

Development Geophysicist

Our company uses cutting edge technology in finding oil and gas reserves, extracting and processing it and taking it to the marketplace.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of geographies and development types.

Key accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct reservoir evaluations and provide estimates for dynamic reservoir models.
  • Deploy state-of-the art technologies.
  • Contribute to well planning and execution such as monitoring drilling activities, developing new targets, directional well planning, compiling documentation, and regulatory filings.
  • Mentor junior geoscientists.

  • Must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in a Geoscience or relevant engineering discipline.
  • Must have 10 – 15 years industry experience.
  • Must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must have experience with map reservoir intervals, gross and net isopachs, net pay determination from tuning analysis (SNP) and uncertainty determinations.
  • Must have experience with well to seismic ties phase, wavelet extraction and inversion (CI), amplitude, AVO, attribute analysis, and Subsurface risk assessment.
  • Must have an understanding of reservoir model inputs and parameters.
  • Must be a US citizen.
