Estimator – Public Works

Estimators are responsible for evaluating bid specifications and drawings, ensuring that we know everything required to successfully bid and win the project. Estimators also work with the Project Manager’s to follow-up on bids and budgets to close the job. Duties will include but are not limited to; estimating, project scope, scheduling, quality control, submittal management, RFI generation and business development.

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Must be able to compile estimates and meet deadline requirements.
• Ability to effectively quantify subcontractors bids.
• Must establish positive relationships with subcontractors.
• Solicit quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Assembling final estimates and proposal preparation and presentation.
• Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.

Qualifications And Education Requirements                         

• Experience as a Construction Estimator on commercial, retail and industrial building construction
• Bachelor’s degree a plus, but not required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite
