Interior Designer – Commercial Offices/Higher Ed./ Healthcare

We are looking for an energetic Interior Designer to undertake a variety of commercial office, healthcare, and higher education space designing projects. The Designer is responsible for initial programming, space planning, generating CAD drawings with specifications, and coordinating as well as making recommendations for furniture finish plans. Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed space planning drawings according to customer specifications.
  • Design proposal specifications using AutoCad and other design specific programs.
  • Analyze customer sketches, specifications and drawings to determine space planning needs.
  • Manage resource allocations, project oversight and post project follow-ups.
  • Create color boards and presentation packages when necessary.
  • Develop and coordinate project timelines.
  • Develop project quotes, cost out customer revisions and orders.
  • Manage department Excel spreadsheets.
  • Generate reoccurring and ad hoc management reports.
  • Provide general administrative support as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with a commercial furniture dealership is a must.
  • Expertise in layout, color, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture and all installations.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator or other design programs.
  • Detail oriented and a self directed problem solver.
  • Creative talent, imagination, and an eye for commercial office design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Undergraduate degree in Interior Design.
  • Portfolio of previous works is a plus.
