OPERATIONS MANAGER

Operations Mgr.

Job Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:

• Directs the operations of the facility to ensure safe, cost-effective and efficient operations to meet company standards of practice, and all regulatory requirements.
• Ensures a sufficient staff of trained, experienced employees and supervisors are available to execute and sustain complex operations.
• Prepares, administers, and ensures compliance with annual budget.
• Develops and monitors systematic, ongoing review of key performance indicators.
• Prepare and provide technical expertise in the development of air, biosolids and wastewater permits and reports for state and federal changing requirements.
• Ensures that process control guidelines, testing, SOP’s, Emergency Procedures and other accepted technical and operating tools are effectively utilized and applied in order to achieve the desired outcomes and results.
• Utilizes, develops, and manages the treatment, chemical, biosolids, and energy programs, contracts and usages to optimize the cost and budget results.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field is required. PE in Mississippi is a plus.
• 10+ years experience in a wastewater treatment facility plus 5 years experience as a supervisor or manager.
• Comprehensive knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and operation/maintenance procedures for related equipment. Knowledge of federal, state and local laws pertaining to a wastewater treatment facility is a plus.
• MS Grade IV Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including excel, Work, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Valid MS driver’s license.
