Operations & Reservoir Engineer

We are currently seeking an Operations & Reservoir Engineer to join our facility. There is an underground natural gas storage field that is co-owned by three area utilities and we have been contracted to operate it. We are seeking someone with petroleum and/or reservoir engineering experience to help us maintain this facility which stores and supplies up to 1/3 of the gas needs in the Northwest on a peak day. We have a high commitment to maintaining this facility and it is considered the “Jewel in the Crown” of our assets.

This candidate will be a key member of the reservoir management team, providing the link from the subsurface to the surface.

  • Will use experience and skills to enhance asset value through the optimization of individual well performance, participation in RMT collaboration activities, and generation of capital/expense.
  • Will perform workovers and new well completions, optimization of artificial lift/stimulation practices, and provide operations engineering support for secondary recovery performance.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on design and operational issues
  • Recommend alterations to development and design to improve quality of operations.
  • Take responsibility for high quality completion designs.
  • Ensure full integration between sub-surface and wells teams during the planning process.
  • Provide ongoing operational support for well completion designs and planning work.
  • Accountable for engineering design, assurance and technical integrity across completion, work over and intervention operations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or related discipline
  • Production, reservoir and operations engineering experience in background with emphasis on one area
  • Proficient in all aspects of drilling, reservoir and producing operations
  • Ability to identify, develop, and execute profitable workover/completions projects
  • Ability to prioritize workloads effectively in a challenging multidiscipline team environment
  • Fundamental knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office Suite software
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Willing to relocate to the Pacific Northwest.

Must be a U.S. Citizen or authorized to work in the USA(Permanent Resident) without sponsorship. Canadian citizens are eligible for TN Visas which are acceptable.
