Project Engineer – Multifamily

We are a privately held and growing multi-family developer and builder is seeking a Construction Project Engineer for the Portland, OR market.

The Construction Project Engineer will assist and support the Project Manager’s in day to day operations of the project, including cost reporting activities, scheduling, and subcontractor management RFIs and Subcontractor Submittals. The Project Engineer must be flexible and a team player, as well as have strong Blue Print Reading and communication skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Update construction schedules based on team input.
• Receive, review, forward and track status of submitals.
• Initiate, prepare, review, track, and distribute RFIs.
• Assist in management of project permit process.
• Assist is preparation of bid packages and procurement.
• Receive and review change orders.

Requirements:

• Entry-level to 3 years of industry experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree- Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent.
• Must have a broad understanding of industry.
• Computer knowledge and efficiency including Microsoft Office products, Microsoft Project Scheduling and Excel.
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have the ability to read drawings and specifications.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.
