Project Manager – Commercial (Walls/Ceilings)

We are seeking currently seeking a Project Manager to join our team of professionals. This position manages all aspects of complex commercial projects from inception to completion. For this position, the ideal candidate must possess experience working on walls and ceilings.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis and planning throughout the life of the project
• Create a viable preconstruction plan and schedule
• Oversee all technical aspects of the project including reviewing drawings, taking off and ordering materials, code conformance, RFI’s, change orders, execution of the quality control program, and proactively managing the project schedule
• Provide detailed financial oversight of the project
• Manage the schedule, job costs, and the change order process
• Monitor and evaluate project productivity and safety
• Work to maintain a positive cash position throughout the job
• Provide team leadership on the project
• Mentor the project team
• Coordinate effective weekly project meetings
• Provide the direction and required project controls that are specific to the project
• Establish and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external customers

Qualifications

• Project management experience with large projects, having led multiple, successful, project teams while mentoring coworkers
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, OST and Quickbid (or similar estimating software), Bluebeam and scheduling software
• Excellent problem-solving ability as well as strong negotiation and organizational skills
• Three to five years of experience in the wall and ceiling industry
• Ability to travel throughout the area as project and business needs dictate
