We are currently seeking a Construction Project Manager in Santa Maria, CA. The projects consist of design-build, tenant improvement hotels.
Job Description:
Responsible for management of project sites; overseeing subcontractors, development of subcontract scopes of work, and development and tracking of schedule and maintaining budgets.
Qualifications:
Five years experience in serving as project manager on construction projects. Design-build experience and hotel experience preferred.
In addition:
3 – 5 years construction project management experience preferably on hotels.
Must have on site construction experience.
Must have a working knowledge of structural, mechanical, and electrical civil and building practices and concepts, excellent working knowledge of current building regulations, laws, and rules.
Must be confident in directing and coordinating staff and subcontractors.
Must be organized and have ability to make independent decisions, ability to multi-task and ability to delegate.
Coordinate and communicate regularly with Clients and Corporate Executives.
Must be able to prepare subcontract scopes and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to subcontractual agreements with architects, suppliers and trade subcontractors.
Must be able to prepare and submit budget estimates and progress and cost tracking reports.
Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel and Word, aptitude/willingness to learn other management software programs
