Project Manager – K-12

We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated Project Manager to handle the day to day management responsibilities of one or more construction projects. Work closely with the Sub-Contractors, Superintendent, and Construction management Team. Assist in estimating and in general follow through the project’s duration. Manage construction projects from the beginning to end resulting in successful and timely project completion.

Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To

  • Coordinates the preparation of the schedule of projects.
  • Monitors/control construction to ensure projects are built on schedule and within budget.
  • Review, approve and executes all project contracts and purchase orders in compliance with corporate policies and objectives.
  • Oversees expenses of jobs in progress, write change orders, or supplements.
  • Responsible for timely project billing, for tracking and collection of money.
  • Schedules workflow after identifying job phases.
  • Identifies, selects, negotiates with and schedules subcontractors.
  • Performs material takeoffs, identifies suppliers and places orders for materials and schedules the material delivery so it will arrive on the job site in a timely manner.
  • Identifies unstated assumptions and resolves conflicts between the customer expectations and the contractual obligations.
  • Ensures quality and timeliness of subcontractor jobs and employee duties.
  • Requires knowledge of building code requirements.
  • Can read, interpret and understand blueprints and structural details.
  • Oversees the completion of the project close out.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all level of employees, vendors, contractors, consultants and clients.
  • Read and understand plans, specifications and subcontractor agreements.
  • Analyze problems and make sound decisions in a timely manner based on objectives, risk, implications and cost.
  • Maintain high qualitative and quantitative standards of work performance. Conveys these expectations to others, holds themselves and others accountable in meeting these standards and provides all necessary documentation and reports to the client and building/facility management team.
  • Strive constantly to improve skill and working knowledge in themselves and others.
