Solar Sales Engineer


This individual will be responsible for managing new opportunities for the company, providing the Sales department design and deliverables to support commercial solar electric systems.


  • Maintain constant communication with Sales Team and other departments as needed, to structure projects.
  • Manage CAD resources and priorities to meet required timelines. Maintain accurate, updates reports / documents to track new opportunities and company forecasting.
  • Visit sites and attend company meetings as needed.
  • Respond to RFPs. Identify requirements, and work within EPC and Service to provide solutions.
  • Prepare module layouts, diagrams, equipment and material specifications / requirements, validations, documents, etc. to customers.
  • Setup and maintain customer scheduling to provide on-time solutions and estimates.
  • Provide technical support where needed.
  • Provide interface for handoff between EPC and Sales departments.

  • BSEE degree.
  • Experience performing design and permitting activities with a solar electric installation company.
  • Experience designing with medium voltage equipment
  • Experience designing electrical systems, experience with electrical switchgear or sub-stations, or experience with distributed generation system design.
  • Experience using AutoCAD.
  • Experience MS Office programs, specifically Word and Excel.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Some travel required.
