Traveling Superintendent – Retail/Grocery

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Construction Superintendent to join our team! As a Construction Superintendent, you will be responsible for supervising and managing our construction staff and construction projects. This position will be 90%+ travel required.

Construction Superintendent duties and responsibilities

  • Planning construction processes
  • Coordinating all work on construction site
  • Supervising construction staff and keeping track of project process
  • Collaborating with clients and project managers
  • Collaborating with construction engineers
  • Estimating costs and taking care of the budget
  • Purchasing materials and equipment
  • Obtaining construction permits
  • Performing inspections
  • Maintaining a daily log and writing reports
  • Overseeing staff performance
  • Ensuring safety and quality standards are met
  • Resolving construction site emergencies

Construction Superintendent requirements and qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or similar field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Proficiency with CAD software
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret drawings and specifications
  • Strong multitasking skills
  • Ability to lead a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to complete projects on time
